Veterinary Camp
VET CAMP is a 5-day youth program designed for ages 12-17 interested in veterinary medicine and science in general. The program combines demonstrations, discussions and hands-on experience. Topics include but are not limited to:
- Animal Husbandry
- Physical Examinations
- Identifying Signs of Illness
- Disease Prevention
- Organ Systems and Their Diseases
- Wound Care.
This camp fills up quickly. There are limited slots and a minimum of six participants.
Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times.
Campers must provide their own lunch and bring plenty of water.
Campers will tend to wounds and assist in a surgical procedure, so they will be exposed to blood.
Cost:
$325 for Grace Foundation members
$375 for non-members
($75 non-refundable deposit required)
